Broker: epmd and IPv6#

If IPv6 is disabled, you can force epmd to listen only on localhost. You will get an error like:

or

failed to bind on ipaddr 127.0.0.1: Cannot assign requested address

In that case, you should have ERL_EPMD_ADDRESS=127.0.0.1 in file /etc/gitguardian/rabbitmq/rabbitmq-env.conf and IPv6 disabled on your host.

To fix this issue:

  • Enable IPv6, or
  • Comment the following lines in /etc/gitguardian/rabbitmq/rabbitmq-env.conf:
#SERVER_START_ARGS="-kernel inet_dist_use_interface {127,0,0,1}"#ERL_EPMD_ADDRESS=127.0.0.1

And restart the broker service:

docker-compose restart broker
