Developers
Why monitor developers?
Any developer who is—or was—an employee of your company may leak secrets or sensitive data that could be damaging to your organization. This includes activities in personal projects, contributions to open-source repositories, and testing activities.
Developers attached to the company
GitGuardian automatically links GitHub profiles to your company based on several criteria. The list of developers attached to your company is visible in your public perimeter. The "Why in perimeter" column explains why each developer is included in your monitoring scope.
Managing your developer perimeter
To view and manage the developers in your perimeter:
- Navigate to Perimeter > Public sources > Developers
- Review the list of automatically detected developers
- Contact our support team to manually add additional developers if needed
