MFA for email and password logins

Starting March 9, 2026, we are adding multi-factor authentication (MFA) to all GitGuardian SaaS accounts that use email and password to log in.
What's changing
When you log in or modify sensitive settings (like integrations, API tokens, or user permissions), you receive a 6-digit code by email. Enter the code, and you're in.
Who's affected
This applies to anyone who logs in to GitGuardian SaaS with email and password. Logins through GitHub authentication or SSO are unaffected, and self-hosted deployments are not concerned by this change.
What you need to do
Nothing. The system prompts you for a verification code once the change is live.
Make sure the email address on your GitGuardian account is one you can access: verification codes are sent there.
