Compatibility policy

At the time a ggshield version is released, it is guaranteed to be compatible with all supported versions of the GitGuardian application (SaaS and self-hosted).

When a new version of the GitGuardian application is released, it is guaranteed to be compatible with all versions of ggshield released during the last 3 months. Once this compatibility period is over, changes in GitGuardian application may prevent ggshield from working. If this happens, you must upgrade your installation of ggshield to a newer version, preferably the latest one.
